We just can't stay away!

As most of you know I work at the hospital. So when I got put on bed rest I thought I would not have to see that place untill Mckya came. Wrong. I had to spend a week there as a patient. Then shortly after Derick decides that he would like to vist! He cut his thumb open at work and had to get stiches. Derick HATES needles. I mean he leaves the room when the nurses had to start IV's and stuff with me. The picture below may tell you how he handled it!

The best part was Derick let a student doctor do her first set of stiches on him! What a brave soul!

Have you ever?...

Have ou ever fall'n asleep at the denist? Well Brock did. Yes complete asleep. The Dr. had to keep spraying him in the face so he would wake up to keep his mouth open! Only my kids would do that!

AFTER...

After 9 months of pregnancy, 11 lbs weight gain, 9 weeks of bed rest., 1 week of hospital stay, 1701 pills taken we are pleased to announce...

Me finally allowed to stop all the medicine. March 7, 2009 at 10:06 pm weighing in at 7.3 lbs and 21 inches long we get to meet our beauitful daughter Mckya Lynn!!!

When she was born at 36 weeks she came in to the world fighting. She was born very sick. She had pneumonia in both lungs and a pulanmary embolism (spelling???) which is a blood clot in her lungs. She was flown to Flagstaff NICU at the age of 2 hours old!

They had to put a tube in her lungs to help her breathe.

And IV lines that ran through her tummy!

Finally at the age of 3 days old mommy got to hold me! I also got the tube out! I still could not eat but they were giving me plenty of food through my IV.

One of her nurses put a cute little dress on her.

The IV lines came out and after 9 days of hospital food I got to go HOME!!!

I have to go home on oxygen but hey I get to go home!!

Bed Rest Weeks 6 & 7 (Feb 15 to 28)

Sorry I have not kept you updated! It's not like anything is happening right now in our lives! Here are some random pictures of both weeks! The kids at bath time!

Kayda fell asleep in this bear that I got from an old boyfriend in high school. The bear is bigger then she is!

Brock and I made a sweet and sour stir fry one night it was really good! Brock cut the veggies up all by himself! He will make a great cook one day!
