Did you know?...

So today ( tuesday 12/30/08) at work we had a homeless guy come into the ER. Someone found him down and called 911. His body Temp. was 25.6 C (which is 78 F) and he was bearly breathing. It is a sad story but what I am blogging about is this very cool new tool that we have to help save someone's life. It is called a "Thumper". I will try and give you a clue to what it does... It saves our back's when it comes to CPR....... Think of it yet?..... Well..... It is this nice little device that you put around a patient and it does CPR for you so that we can focus on warming him up, giving meds, and helping him breathe. Plus, I do not know how many of you have ever had to give CPR but you get very tired very fast! And afterwards you are swore. So this nice tool helps us very much. I do have to admit that it did look like it hurt. But CPR is not ment to feel good anyway. Well that is another inside to what I do on a daily work day!

Christmas at home!

This year we decided to spend Christmas morning at home then do the traveling to visit family. Brock woke up early walked right by all the presents, came into our room and told me that Santa had not come yet. Well I got up and walked out into the living room with him and showed him the great big kitchen set he walked right by! After that the lights were on and Christmas morning started!
Brock opening presents from dad. A walkie-talkie set.

Dad and Kayda!

Derick

Mom helped Kayda with her sock. She got her own Tinker Bell tooth brush and tooth paste. Now she walks around brushing her teeth!

Brock got his own Shaving kit from Mom and Dad. And believe it or not he has to shave EVERY morning! It is fake of course but way cute! Then he puts on his deodorant and does his own hair. He is off for the day!

Brock is trying to quess what Santa brought him!

More Sock fun!
This is the Kitchen that Brock walked right by. But he had been asking for his own kitchen. Brock cleans and wipes down his kitchen every night. He takes very good care of the toys he loves. By washing them, folding them, etc. He did not get this cleaning thing from either mom or dad. We both hate to clean! Well the luckly girl that marries him will love that!!!

More Tinker Bell stuff!

Her first baby doll and stroller!

Snow!!

Saturday 19 We loaded the dogs and kids and headed up Mingus Mtn. There was over 18 inches of snow up there! Brock took to snowboarding like a pro!! I can not get the video to down load but he stood up!!! I can't believe how well he did! Kayda wanted nothing to do with the snow. It got on her boots and she threw a fit! So mom had to hold her the whole time while Brock, Dad, and Joseph played. By the way the dogs loved the snow as well. We took snow cone flavoring up with us and made SNOW CONES!!! Then we had hot coco and chile.

After getting home we got the kids in a warm bath and but PJ's on. Then they wrestled around with uncle Joseph on the floor... It was a great day! (we call him uncle because he has been given no choice but to marry Nicki, Jessica's sister. Now we just need Nicki to agree...)

Tinker Bell and Vaccums

We got a new vaccum because I dropped it down the front stairs when I was cleaning out our car. Well perfect timing.... Home depot had these new vaccums go on sale for $40.00! It normally is a $150.00 vaccum. BUT I LOVE IT!! This vaccum works so well. Along with the new vaccum we picked up the movie "Tinker Bell". Kayda will sit in her chair and watch this moive all day long over and over.... IT is very nice I was able to get caught up on laundry, shampoo the carpet, and clean the kitchen. So thank you Tinker Bell for being a great babysitter!

Headstone news

We have decided to put Dakota's headstone in Saturday, December 27, 2008. Around noon. Then go to River Font park and have a BBQ. EVERYONE is welcome to come.

Weekly wrap up

Last weekend after Thanksgiving Derick got REALLY sick. He was hit with strep throat and tonsilitsis at the same time! So Sunday when we woke up Kayda had a fever and Derick was sick so we stayed home. Later that day Brock and I decided we would put up the lights and Christmas Decorations! So Brock and I did. Let me just tell you that trying to hang lights by yourself is hard but trying to hang lights with a 4 year old boy is not any easier!

Brock and I, then later on Kayda joined in on decorating the tree!

Brock had to hang decorations under the tree... so yeah that we will be fun trying to take it all down.
That night after reading the bedtime story the kids feel asleep...

The week kinda flew by. I worked Derick was sick, and the kids went to Grandpa's. But Friday after gymnastics (Derick was bettter by then) we decided that the car needed a good deep cleaning! We vaccumed, shampooed, and washed the car. It is amazing to find all the stuff that had fallen under seats.

This is Kayda helping...
Derick said he wanted to take a picture to prove that I have at least once in our marriage I have cleaned the car. He thinks this is the first and only time... Little does he know...

Saturday was our yearly Christmas Parade. Brock and Kayda both loved seeing all the floats and most of all running to get the candy!

After the parade we decided that a family day was way over due. Derick turned off his cell phone and we drove up Mingus mtn. Did you know that there is a lake up there? Well it is Mingus lake. (it is more of a big cow pond but they named it Mingus Lake) Well it was frozen. We had packed a lunch. So we had a picnic then went Ice skating!

Kayda and I also went out on the Lake but some how those pictures would not download. Anyways. Have you ever been on an Ice lake and had it crack? Well I had bent over to tie Kayda's shoe and yup it CRACKED!! Derick said he didn't think I could move that fast. I picked up Kayda and ran. It did not break or anything it was just the ice underneath moving. But that was enough for me to stay off. The kids had a blast.
Sunday after chruch Derick and I went on a double date with a couple that teaches massage school. So Derick learned how to give a pregancy massage! It was GREAT! Derick is wanting to go to school to get his LMT. So it was a fun and relaxing night!
We dropped the kids off at Grandpa's. They got to spend the night putting up Christmas decorations. So it was a good weekend for us all!

Thanskgiving Weekend

For Thanksgiving this year we went to Derick's parents house. His brother from CO came down and sister from PHX came up. So we had a house full. The cousins were there too. Brock got to sit at the kid table all byhimself this year and he thought it was the coolest thing. Kayda shared a place with mom. And well my plate..... became her plate. It was ok since I was not feeling good at all. I think this was the first Thanksgiving I did not eat at dinner! I did eat a little later that night. But here Kayda is eating mom's plate along with her plate!
I thought it would be cool to see what Kayda looked like with straight hair.... I did take the time to straighten it . But about 1 hour later it was curly again. But it was fun to play!
On our way to Wal-Mart Kayda was crying so Brock went and sat next to her to hold her hand and sing her a song so that she would stop crying.
Brock sitting in the laundry basket playing the Wii all by himself... He amazes me at how smart he is.
Uncle Denny and Anut Pagie brought the kids presents. Here kayda is making good use of her brother and her new stoller. She would push the stroller around the house looking for Brock then sit down in it and yell for hm to push her and her baby. But the funny thing is she won't ride in her real stroller.

I will post the date and those of you that would like to come and help you are MORE THEN WELCOME to come we would love to have you there.

The saying I got from a book I read after Dakota died. It is the BEST book for a mother who lost a child. (Thank you Alicia S. for it!) It says "The Crown Without The Conflict."

Books or Surf boards?

Saturday I was deep cleaning our kitchen. So I had moved all the chairs and table into the living room so I could bleach the floor. Well Kayda kept bring me a book to read to her. I told her in just a few minutes I could but to take it to Brock to read it to her. Well they got quite. I just keep on working... Then I heard thumping noises, I go into the living room and find the kids "book surfing". They both would jump off the couch onto the book and then slide... What can you do?

By the way when we are home Kayda refuses to wear a diaper. I MEAN REFUSES! But she will wear a pair of Brock's underwear... I promise my kids do have clothes. I just happen to take pictures right after bath time or when we are home hanging out!

Exciting news!

Well spending one of many days at work we were able to do an ultrasound of baby Kyson. Well the kid moves SO MUCH!! I could have told you that without an ultrasound. He is my strongest one. Anyway is is also my biggest. According to my blood work and due date I am about 20 weeks (give a few days) well Kyson is SO big he is measuring at the size of a 24 week baby! Plus in the ultrasound he was STANDING UP! Yes legs were straight. Well he was standing on his head now because he is upside down which is good. The ultrasound tech said he is able to burn it onto a CD for me. So I might be able to post it! Now I just have to wait for my next doctor's appt to find out exactly how big and how far along I am. We will keep you updated!

Sorry

I have been so busy at work and at home. I will start posting again soon.

Tuesday 21- Mom and Dad worked again. After work we picked up the kids and had our family night then put the kids in the bath. Well I left the bubble bath in reach of Brock... I came back to check on him and the tub was FULL of bubbles. But the kids did have fun.

Wednesday 22 - Mom worked while the kids had a daddy day! (not sure what they did)
Thursday 23 - Brock had school then he went to grandpa's house. So mom and Kayda had a mommy kayda day! It was nice to spend the whole day with just Kayda!
Friday 24 - After gymnastics we went and had lunch, got Brock's hair cut and then did our grocery shopping! Frys was having a HUGE sale. I spent $140.00 and saved $150.00!!!! That is the first time that has ever happened!
Brock getting his hair cut all by himself (mom had to wait across the room)

That night we met up with Tina and her girls to go to one of the local school carnivals. We had so much fun! The kids played games and got their face's painted.

Saturday 25- Sorry I really can't remember much other then we had our primary program pratice.
Sunday 26- At church we had our yearly Priarmy Program. This was Brock's first time being in one! I did cry yes. Derick's parents even came to watch Brock. He had to dress like a missionary. So he was in a full suit. I am sorry but I forgot to get pictures. We are so pleased with Brock and how well he sat up on the stage all by himself and was a VERY GOOD BOY! After church we had a pinic in our living foom for lunch! Then all took naps! That night we had a "Back to the Furture" marathon.
