Introducing...

Our families new members! We took some "mug" shots of our new pups. Brock has named them all. Don't worry we are selling them all!

Babe is such a good mom. She is better then what we thought she would be.

This is Buck. He was born first and is the only male. He was 18 oz at birth. (most pups are under a pound)
This is Betty. She was secound and 15 oz at birth. Now she is getting so big. Even though she was smaller at birth she is so chubby now her little legs have rolls!
This is Brinley. At birth we thought she was the brindle kind but after being cleaned up we saw that she was fawn. She was 16 oz. (one pound)
This is Breezy. She is my favorite. I really like her dark face. She was fourth and got stuck coming out her back legs did not want to leave mommy. She was the smallest at 14 oz.
And last but not least is Brittany. We did not expect her at all. Babe was acting like she was all done and then about 2 hours later out she comes! She was 18 oz another big one. She did get stuck and was not breathing when she came so with a little puppy CPR and so good rubbing she is now the most active one. She is the only brindle one and very dark, the white neck and face is rare so we will get a good price for her. Plus she will make one very pretty dog.

I know this is a very detailed blog of our puppies but we are so happy to have them! Derick and I always wanted to raise and sell dogs. Just a werid thing that we like to do. But with these being pure boxers and papered we can make some good money off of them. Plus it is so much fun and a good learning experience for the kids!

THE PUPPIES ARE HERE!!

Today (monday 28)- Babe had her puppies! She did great. We had 5 puppies. The male was the oldest and he has 4 sisters. The first two look just like the momma and then the 2nd two are like the dadda and the baby is a mixture of both! The kids just love them! We are having a hard time keeping Kayda away. Brock took his nap next to them, colored next to them, and he thinks that he is the only one that can put the puppies to sleep! It is so cute! So who wants a puppy?

July 21 to July 27

Monday 21 and Tuesday 22- Jessica and Derick worked the Kids spent the day and night at Grandpa's house. Nothing really big happens on these days.

Wednesday 23- I have been waking up at 5 every morning. It has been really nice because I am able to clean and make breakfast while everyone else is still sleeping. I have been waking up Derick so we get a little alone time! Anyway after we got the day started we went to playgroup which was at the Verde River. We have not been in awhile so it was nice to go again!
I then just let the kids go. The had so much fun in the water. Yes the river is more of a mud puddle and it is really gross but it was nice to let the kids just play and get some of their stored up energy out!
I brought snacks at first Kayda was real good and let me feed her the applesauce but I guess I was not getting it to her fast enough because she took over. This is when I took her off the blanket and let her go!
The kids then went back into the water to wash off but the ended up having a mud fight instead! It was so cute to hear them laughing and having fun!
Well I got in the river with them. I kept my flip flops on. Well I step in a part that was deeper then I thought and faster moving too. My shoe came off and floated away. I was holding Kayda so I really could not chase after it. Kayda's shoe went too. They were my favorite flip flops too. Luckily Shantell was home and came to my rescue!

That Afternoon Derick , Robert, and my dad went down to PHX for a baseball game as a father and son outing. So after they left I dropped the sleeping Kayda off with Shantell so that Brock and I could go to Wal-Mart and get stuff for his birthday party. I stopped off and let him get some McDonald's so I could get my hair cut. Then we went a picked out his birthday party stuff then went grocery shopping! It was fun mommy and Brock time.
Thursday 24- Brock had school in the morning. I dropped him off then went to Grandpa's house to wait. I went to that Bargain Mart again and stocked up on some stuff I needed. We then had Brock's last dentist apt.!! Grandpa of course had to go with us! We spent the rest of the day at home catching up on naps and cleaning. That night Shantell and Robert offered to take Derick and I to go see the new Batman movie and my other sister Nicki offered to watch the kids. So Derick and I who desperately needed a date night did not turn down the offer! It was nice to have everything paid for and relax! THANK YOU SHANTELL AND ROBERT!
Friday 25- I had to coach gymnastics. Brock went with me to the mommy and me class to help and catch up for missing last week. After gymnastics I went to work at the hospital while the kids went to grandpa's. Derick had a softball game that night but because of the thunderstorm it was canceled. So went home, and ended up going to bed early!

Nothing really happened on Saturday 26 I went to work that night...

Sunday 27- It was my turn to say closing prayer in church but saturday night at work was really bad so I called upon my sisters for help. Shantell said the pray for me! Now I owe her twice! THANKS AGAIN SHANTELL! It was nice though to get enough sleep to go back to work! After church and when I finally woke up we went bowling! Our idea of bowling is with our WII Brock is really good at it. Kayda not so much. We gave her the DVD remote to pretend and she thought she was in Heaven! We would cheer for her every now and then She was so happy!

The Brock and Derick stared to play " Human Yo-Yo". This is were Derick wraps the kids up in a blanket then pulls...
So they spin out..

It was so much fun! Then because Brock has been bugging the crap out of Nicki to come and play with him, Aunt Nicki finally came and got him. So he got to spend the night with Aunt Nicki! That kid is so spoiled!

July 14 to July 20

Monday July 14- After getting home from work I got the kids up and tried to get Brock ready for school... Well we all sat down on the couch ...... some fell alseep, But we woke in time to make sure Brock was not late to school. I slept during the day then back to work that night. The kids stayed the night with grandpa coco. Derick worked all day then had some time to himself at home that night. So he spent it catching up on his coumputer games!

Tuesday July 15- Kinda the same thing over again. I had to meet with my boss to do my yearly eval (which was 6 months late on her part... AHHH) So I got home 2 hours later then normal. Lucky for me Lee (grandpa coco) kept the kids a little later so I could get some more sleep.

Wednesday July 16- We all woke up early that morning abd had a great morning. We got to spend some family time together wrestling the stuff bears! It was so much fun, because one of our bears is BIGGER the Kayda. So she would try and pull the bear over top of her it was so cute! Then Brock had to show us his new "Panda" moves....

Playgroup was at the Clarkdale swimming pool, I did not feel brave enough to try and take both kids by myself. Brock will not let go of me but Kayda will try to wiggle free. So we stayed home and played house! That night I had to go to work again. This will be my last wed. night!!!! (as working extra)

Thursday July 17- Brock had to go to school. So after dropping him off I went to grandpa Coco's house. Lee watched Kayda so I could take a little nap to catch up. I then went shopping at this little store in Camp Verde called "Bargain Mart" it is a very tiny store. Most of the items in the store are dented cans and boxes that Safeway and other big stores don't want to sell. So instead of paying $1.00 for a can of beans it is $0.30 so I saved a TON of money. I only spent $40.00 but if I was to get the same dent free stuff at Safeway it would have cost me around $140.00. So I try to hit this store weekly to help with our food supply. That night Brock sneezed a few times then started screaming that his ear hurt. A few minutes later he had a fever and his ear was bleeding. Back in April Brock had stuck an orange peeler in his ear and nicked his ear drum. Well it was still trying to heal and very weak. Because of the pressure we have behind one of our sneezes he busted it open even worse this time. So I was able to get a doctor's apt. for friday morning.

Friday July 18- I called my gymnastic boss and told her what had happened with Brock and got her to sub for my class so that I could take him to the doctor. Grandpa and grandma coco came into help me out. Grandma stayed in the car with the sleeping Kayda and Grandpa came inside. Well the PNP saw Brock and said that his ear drum was split pretty good but there was no infection. She said it look like it hurt. And believe me I know it hurt him. I hate that feeling of helplessness when my children are hurt and there is nothing you can do to take the pain away. Anyway we started him on some pain med. that are drops for his ear and some Anitbot. to help prevent infection getting into the middle ear. Because he split it open pretty good there is a high risk of this happing. And if you get an infection in the middle ear it can lead to hearing loss.... AHHH hopefully we won't have that problem.

After all that fun stuff happened I had to go to work for the day. It was a good day at work. I ran into one of Kayda's NICU nurses. She transfered down here and now works as a soical worker. She rememebered me and asked how Kayda was. So I logged on and had to show her pictures!

Saturday July 19- We all woke up early again. And because Brock had to miss gymnastics on Friday he made us "work out" with him. It was so much fun to let him be the coach. He worked us hard. Here he is helping Kayda do her forward rolls...

Making mom stretch her back and do her forward rolls.

Then we had to do some spinning kicks.... (we don't do this in gymnastics, so he made us do a lot more then just gymnastics!)

We then decided to go to the park and the library. I talked Derick into staying home from work to hang out with us. I am so glad that he did because we all had fun.

At the library.

That night I went to work again..
Sunday July 20- Brock had to give his first "Theme" in primary today so I bucked up and went trying my best to saty awake! He kinda chickened out so mom ended up doing the theme. Oh yeah... Saturday there was a thunder storm that knocked out 13 power lines on our street. So we have no power untill (hopefully) Monday morning. Beacuse our AC was not on we went to Grandpa and Grandma Coco's house for dinner. Bad for me beacuse I think I got a total of 3 hours sleep before going back to work... So in the past 48 hours I have slpet only 3 hours. So I am sorry if I have snapped at you today! And THANK YOU DERICK for putting up with me.

The Memory of a Child

For those of you that know us, know that our daughter Dakota is still very much alive in our hearts and our home. Today (friday) Brock said something that reminded me of just how close we are to those that pass on. Brock had injured his ear drum back in April and thursday he started to sneeze and injured it again. Today I had an apt to take him to the doctors to get it checked out. Well it was bleeding so I place a cotton ball in it to help. Brock looked at me and said... " Mom if my ear doesn't get better will it look like Kota's?" Dakota was handicap when she was born she was to supposed to have many physical deformities but she did not. The only one she had was that her right ear was a stub instead of a full ear. I have never said anything to Brock about this or even remember talking about it to Derick in front of him. But yet he remembers what she looks like. He was only 20 months old when she was born. After I picked myself up from his question I talked to him and explained that now Dakota is perfect and that Jesus made her ear all better. So when grandpa came to get him, so that I could go to work, Brock told him all about it. My father-in-law is not active in the church but he was crying and could totally feel the spirit.

Here are some pictures of our beautiful angel Dakota.

Mommy and Kota

Our family, see how young Brock was. (I did not take any picutres of her after she past so she is alive in all of these)

July 6 to 12... Very Short week

Sunday July 6th- Brock woke up with a tummy ache and Kayda had diarrhea so Derick stayed home with the kids from church. I again went to work. For the Month of July I have picked up two extra days a week. It is going to be hard but we will be able to get caught up on bills and get a saving back up. So Monday thur Wedensday I worked and the kids got to play at grandpa coco's house which to them was the best thing ever!

Thursday July 10. After sleeping off my night at work I went out to Camp Verde to pick up the kids. I stayed out there during the rain storm as we sat out on the porch. I just love it when it rains! Brock somehow got this idea in his head that if he goes outside when it is raining he will be hit by lightening. So I had to try and teach him about being safe but that it was ok to go outside. That night my sisters came with me to our monthly game of PINKO!! I just love this game. It is a bunch of us mom's from playgroup that get together and have our own night of games!

Shantell and Nicki at Pinko with me!
Friday after working at the gym and the hospital Derick had a softball game. There was no one to keep score so that is what I got to do! It was fun to spend some time with Derick before picking up the kids again. Oh by the way we lost our first game and won our second game.

Saturday and Sunday I spent all day with the kids and we just played at home. It was a nice day. That sunday night I had to go to work. On my way in I saw this very beautiful Rainbow.

Flashlights and Music is all you need!

Saturday(July 5 ) night before I had to go to work we played around with the kids. So have you ever seen or played with your dog while they are chasing a flashlight? Well if you have not it is really funny to watch. So Derick got the flashlight out and Kayda started to chase it! Is was so funny. She kept trying to catch the light!

For Father's day we had gotten Derick the Dance Dance Rev. game. But we finally got it out to play tonight. ( since he has been gone we have had no time to play it) But here Brock is dancing. He tried so hard, it was fun to watch him!

4th of July

HAPPY 4th OF JULY!!

My work had asked me if I could work. They were short on days and nights. So since they asked I told them I could work from noon to 7 pm. And it was acutally perfect! Derick brought the kids in and we ate dinner. We had ribs, hot dogs, potato salad.. because I was working it was all free! After work we went over to a friends house. He lives by wal mart on top of the hill so we could watch fireworks. He also had a pool so after the show we jumped in clothes on!! Brock and Kayda just loved swimming in their clothes! It was fun to go "wild"!

Yes I dressed us all the same!
Kayda playing with the dogs.
Derick had picked up some fireworks (just small ones) from Kansas here Brock and Kayda are with some sparklers.
Here we are watching dad set the other ones off. The pictures did not turn out so I did not post the sorry.
Here we are swimming!!!

When we were done I sat Kayda down while I got clothes and shoes gathered up. Well she found the Sushi, and she loved it!

June 29 to July 3

Sunday June 29- We did not go to church today. Derick is still in Kansas and with me working all night it is hard to take the kids and stay awake. So I caught up on my sleep and then went out to Grandpa Coco's house to spend time with my kids before going back to work. After we ate dinner we let the kids have popsicles. Kayda got a fudge one....

Monday June 30 and Tuesday July 1- I again had to work so spent both days catching up on sleep while the kids played at grandpa's house. Tuesday when the kids came home we caught up on house work the just played at home.

Wednesday July 2- Brock is the most AMAZING boy you will ever meet! That morning after our breakfast and getting dressed I told Brock that because he had been so good at his chore chart and helping me while dad is gone that I would take him to go see "Kung Fu Panda" But it did not start till 3. So I told him I was going to get in the shower, then we would clean up the living room and go shopping, then hopefully it would be close to the time to go. Well during my shower he did not bug me once. (where he is usally in there every 5 sec asking for somthing...) So enjoying my shower, as I get out and head into the living room after getting dressed.... IT WAS CLEAN!!!! Brock had cleaned the living room all by himself!!! He was so happy about going to see " Panda" that he did it himself. (now when you walked into his room you found everything on his bed. but hey you gotta give him credit ) So we went shopping and I let him pick a candy out there to take. Once at the movies Kayda fell asleep right away and stayed asleep which made it nice. Now Brock thinks he is "panda" and walks around kicking and hi-yaing everything. I love that boy so much!

Thursday July 3- Derick is coming home today!!! During the day I watched my friend Alisha's kids while she went to work. We both work at the hospital so I know how hard it is to find a good babysitter to watch your kids for 13 hours a day. She has a girl Madison, she is Brock's age and a son Mason, Kayda's age. So the day was good they all played very well together!

Here they are playing "American Idol" .. We have a game that puts you on TV so you can dance and sing.

Here is miss Kayda singing along with them!

Then we made rice krispe treats while they cooled we dance with ribbons.

After lunch the clouds came out and it cooled down outside so we filled the pool and had fun!

Derick came home at about 8:30. We let the kids stay up to play with him. I do not like him being away for so long it was 2 and half weeks! YUCK! But you do what you have to to support your family. And I love him even more for that. But we are sure glad to have him home.
